The Story That Started It All
The Greenhaus Coffee Co. grew out of two friends feeling strangely uninspired in their college community and asking themselves a simple question: What if there was a place that felt like home?
Nathan Lorenz and Zoe Fernandez had always found comfort in the same things: a really good cup of coffee, the grounding presence of houseplants, and cozy spaces like Railroad Square Art District and the Tallahassee Nursery that made the world feel calmer for a moment.
Separately, they each started imagining a café that blended all of those comforts together. Then one day they compared notes and realized they’d been dreaming the exact same dream: a space filled with lush greenery, warm cups, and people who appreciate the beauty in slowing down. That shared vision was the spark that became The Greenhaus.
Nathan approached the idea as the coffee obsessive—the person who can never resist a new café or a freshly roasted blend. Zoe brought the heart of a dedicated plant mom, someone who sees greenery not as décor but as living company that makes a space feel alive. Together, their creativity, love for intentional living, and entrepreneurial curiosity formed the foundation of what The Greenhaus Coffee, Co. is today.
From the beginning, the goal wasn’t just to sell specialty coffee or curate plants. It was to create a lifestyle that feels thoughtful, beautiful, and inviting. A place where quality matters, sourcing is ethical, and every product feels like it was chosen with care.
As The Greenhaus grows online and throughout Florida, the heart behind it stays the same: to build a coffee and plant brand that feels genuinely welcoming—a brand people want to support because it reflects the same warmth, creativity, and community they’re seeking in their own lives. And yes, the dream is still very much alive: a physical café and indoor nursery in Naples where people can gather, breathe, and enjoy the simple luxuries that inspired this journey in the first place.
